Taiwan Mobile selects Cisco Jasper for IoT initiatives
Telecom operator Taiwan Mobile has chosen the Cisco Jasper Control Center to position the country's businesses to unlock new revenue streams and boost IoT applications.
The platform will enable Taiwan Mobile to offer a comprehensive plug-and-play IoT solution that can be configured to provide diagnostic, automatic and analysis intelligence.
The company will offer solutions across industries such as smart cities, public transportation, manufacturing, mobile payments and connected cards. Its enterprise customers will be able to utilise these solutions to increase their productivity and reduce costs.
Taiwan Mobile's business customers will also be able to deliver reliable and consistent customer experiences while getting their services to the market within a much shorter timeframe. They will benefit from the Cisco platform's scalability. The Control Center offers real-time control, managing and monitoring of IoT services, as well as global scalability.
Eddie Chan, senior director of the mobile marketing and IoT services division at Taiwan Mobile, said: "Enterprises throughout Taiwan are eager to deliver new, value-added IoT services to their customers. Companies are increasingly focused on offering services that generate recurring revenue while improving the customer experience. Taiwan Mobile is excited to be at the forefront of enabling this transformation for businesses throughout Taiwan via the industry-leading Cisco Jasper IoT platform."
Barbara Chiu, managing director of Cisco Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, said: "This agreement once again confirms Cisco as the most trusted, strategic technology partner of Taiwan's businesses, and re-confirms our commitment to Taiwan’s digital future. As the country and its businesses look to transform, disrupt, and position themselves to thrive in a digital marketplace, Cisco's leading technologies and software will be there to make that transition as smooth as possible."
